It was Exiciting to See

that Country Executive Ulman has created an Environmental Commission for the County. I'm hoping that the Environmental Commission will take a good look at the environmental effects of excessive limits on density in downtown Columbia. Basically, well planned high density development can leave a much smaller environmental footprint than sprawl.

I also hope they will look into the environmental harm caused by the neglect of Baltimore City's school system. Basically, if we could fix the schools there, it would draw more development back into the city and away from sprawl. It would also ease some of the housing shortage that might well result from BRAC.
