Anon 8:11: Where is the traffic you speak of? Not Town Center. The worst traffic I see in Columbia is usually around BLP, Snowden River Parkway and Rt. 32 -- that area gets packed during rush hour.
I too would like to see Wegmans and Whole Foods open in Columbia, rumor has it that they are both looking into the idea.
I also understand Trader Joes is coming to Columbia, as well as Harris-Teeter. If you haven't already, check out MOMs (as suggested by Hayduke) at the southeast corner of Route 1 and Route 175.
I also would love to see a full fledged guitar store in Columbia, but I note that guitar stores in Maryland don't seem to be doing real well. I do understand that there is a high-end luthier in Savage Mill, I think its called October Guitars, I suspect they sell strings there (probably D'Addarios).

1. Wegmans
2. Lowes (coming soon)
3. Five Guys Burgers and Fries (http://www.fiveguys.com/)
Produce Galore, David's Natural Market, and/or any of the Conscious Corner stores could open additional stores on the east side.
Whole Foods
Wegmans
traffic that moves smoothly (vs. drive 2 ft and stop, drive 2 ft and stop)
A second 23-story tower to go along with the first one that I hope is built soon!
I totally agree with more high-end/natural/organic food stores -- definitely on the east side! MOM'S -- way east side -- is really nice.
Also, a place to buy guitar strings.

Not Town Center now, but isn't that pretty much the traffic pattern that's now being promoted for Town Center?
Is there a map that shows where every new red light will be placed for the proposed denser development of Town Center? If not, there should be.
Better Grocery Stores!
